Amanda Gordon is well-known for her media work - including talk-back radio session on ABC's "Nightlife" with Tony Delroy, her newspaper and magazine columns in the Daily Telegraph and Good Medicine, and for her guest appearances on TV. From 2004-2008 she was the President of the Australian Psychological Society the peak body representing over 16,000 psychologists nationally.

Amanda Gordon is one of Australia's most successful practitioners, with over 25 years of private practice to her credit. Amanda has a special interest in helping people work on their relationships. Her book, Amanda Gordon Talks About Relationships, is testament to the wide experience she has in helping people work through crises that may develop at any stage of any relationship - ranging from making a commitment, to dealing with children, to coping with affairs, to retirement, to losing a loved one. She challenges people to become conscious livers of life - making real choices and enjoying the consequences of them.

Amanda is also experienced in helping people deal with the full range of life crises, including coping with grief and loss, dealing with stress from a particular crisis, and managing change. She works with individuals, couples and families, helping them enrich their lifestyle and their effectiveness in the world.

Amanda Gordon has a long history of training other professinals. Over the years she has lectured to Nursing Students at Queensland University of Technology, General Practitioners at the NSW Family Medicine Programme, Clinical Psychologists at both Sydney University and the University of NSW. Furthermore, Amanda presents workshops for the Sydney University Centre for Continuing Education on subjects such as parenting and grief.
She currently works with the NSW Ambulance Service assisting their workers to deal with loss and grief.
